Clipped in for 5 years. Kept crashing. Then with gravel I crashed more. Couldn’t swing a leg out fast enough - ya the pros can unclip in a microsecond but old retired me… composite pedals are light, reliable, and no pins equals less bloodshed. I have a bike problem, 7 so far. Don’t laugh, my wife has 7 too. All with Race Face Ride pedals. The best.
I just bought my 2nd pair of the ride pedals. Love them on my commuters for good grip without ruining my shoes or legs! Plus the colours are super fun.
I upgraded my stock plastic pedals on a cruiser bike (I ride it off-road occasionally) with these and they have been great. The extra grip from the studs works well, and they look nice with minimal branding. At this price point, it's hard to beat the quality and color options of these pedals.
These pedals work fine. They have a great amount of grippers without tearing up my shins and legs.
Bought a 2017 Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt 799MS in Spring 2018. Chose a mid-range priced Alum Platform Peddles with Spikes. Basic black… I'm an Ol' Guy so ride pretty tame. I do like colour coordinated stuff on my bikes. Cruising the Net, ran into RaceFace Ride Peddles in Yellow Composite without metal spikes. Poof, bought and installed and have not looked back.
My shins/calves like hitting the composite much more than the Alum/Steel. I'm a happy rider!
Thanks RaceFace...
