The reason for having to upsize is that the insole are too big on these shoes. Im a size 11. Got 11.5 and its tight, remove them and youll see.

I really like the style of these shoes. The BOA lacing system provides the best tightening feel of any MTB shoe I’ve owned. This is my first pair of Ride Concepts shoes, and I purchased them online during a Cyber Monday sale, which made them an excellent value.

On the bike, the soles are stiff and provide great grip on my pedals. I’ve worn them on three rides ranging from 6–8 miles, and overall performance has been solid.

However, I did notice some tingling and numbness in my feet during rides. I loosened both the BOA and the Velcro straps to improve blood flow, but the sensation continued. I wear a size 10, and the fit feels true to size, so I’m hoping this improves as the shoes break in.

Conclusion: The shoes look great, the BOA system is one of the best I’ve used, and the soles are stiff and grippy. I’m optimistic that comfort will improve with more ride time.
