I've always liked ride concepts because they make actual women's sizes instead of just converting men's shoe sizes on the box which is what I'm pretty sure a lot of brands do. I had a pair of lace up flumes for a couple years and loved them. They're great for high arches. The boa flumes seem as good quality as the old ones. Only complaint is that they are weirdly stiff! I know they're meant to be a firmer shoe, but these things have zero flex out of the box. I'll be breaking them in around the house before I venture out on a ride in them.
I was a BOA skeptic. I have been converted.
It's a very stiff shoe, which was the only reason for my 4stars. I have a crazy foot and even wide open, it's a little tough for me to get in. (Foot type is VERY high arches, very narrow heel and rigid structure.) But once the shoe is on - it fits awesome and rides great. I just spent two days riding park at adult bike camp and didn't have a single pedal slip caused by the shoe (those were strictly operator error). HIGHLY recommend!!!
Excellent. Fit perfectly
This is only my second pair of MTB shoes and thus far they are great!! Just got back from a trip to the promised land of Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton and they held up well! It was really warm and my feet didn’t feel super hot. I needed to do some hike a bike and had some decent traction despite some of the dry trail conditions. Soles are very grippy and the bolo is great for changing out of shoes and slipping on my flips quickly. For sure would buy again!
