I’ve always been a big clipless guy, but these shoes have genuinely made me love riding flats. Compared to my old flat shoes, the difference is noticeable. Pedaling feels more efficient, long descents don’t leave my feet aching, and I get a much better sense of responsiveness. You just feel like more of your input actually transfers to the bike which makes sense with the stiffer sole.
My foot stays planted even in chunky terrain, and the overall comfort feels close to a normal everyday shoe. The toe box is wide without being bulky, and Ride Concepts’ customer service took really good care of me when I had a sizing issue.
The only note: they run a little small, so I’d recommend going up a half size.
Overall, 10/10 highly recommend.
I've ridden shoes from another brand for 15+ years and when my latest pair started dying their typical seam-exploding death, I did some exploring to see if maybe there wasn't another option I should be trying... I got my hands on a pair of White and Tan Hellion shoes and right out of the box, I knew I had made a good choice. The white upper looks amazing, and has been cool in all the right ways during the peak of the summer heat. And the toe box is roomy and comfortable in ways that make a real difference when pedaling and coaching for long days. But the part that surprised me was how connected and solid the sole felt. Like it was rivoted to my pedals. I'm a huge fan!
Love these shoes, thanks for making a stylish shoe with plenty of room for wider feet.
Replaced my 5-10s with these. I won’t be going back. Solid, well-made and good grip. Shame there aren’t more colour options.
The fit of these is nice. Stiff sole like I wanted. Lacing is a little tough to dial in but not too bad. Wish the rubber was a bit stickier, but again not bad.
