Men's Tallac Mid Clip BOA®

this shoe gives me all the support I need

It finally dried out enough and got warm enough to wear the new Tallac mid clip boas I purchased a couple of months ago. This is something like my sixth pair of Ride Concepts MTB shoes. I've loved them up till now. I like the idea of ankle protection offered by this shoe. We ride some rocky tech so IMHO more protection is good. I mounted cleats and tried them on. The hard plastic frame under the outside of my right ankle dug into my ankle so bad it hurt walking in them. Not good. The left shoe was fine and it fit fine for a new shoe. I thought I'd see if the problem lessened while riding. It was a struggle wearing them while loading and unloading the bike. I persevered. It turned out to be the most painful short ride ever. I think I might try to bend the plastic with a clamp. If I can't they're going back or in the dumpster. I also had to chase the cleat plate threads with a tap to get the screws to seat correctly. Did RC get bought? Not what I've come to expect.

I feel like a lot of the reviews that I read before purchasing were spot on!
Tight, very Narrow and true to its size once it stretches out!
I am experiencing numbness in BOTH feet! With in 20 min.
The Boa tightening ( loosens ) on both shoes constantly, which makes me tighten them almost every 5 min because I loose so much stiffness.. Then on flats I really loosen them because my feet are basically in PAIN!
Overall.. visually amazing!
I think y'all should add a Velcro Strap to the TOP, And play with that BOA set up.

I tested NIKE SB for years as a sponsored ,Skater and gave plenty of positive and negative input . I was a messenger for 10 years in NYC and now I ride super Tec/and Gorilla Gravel.

Id love to test some shoes for you and give you my feed back.. Its not all about getting feed back from Pros and racers… There US little guys too!! HAHAHA

Pricey but worth it
