510g per shoe (size M9)
I bought the hellion elite because to be honest it’s what fit me best when I tried them on. They’re an amazing shoe, extremely durable and very customizable when it comes to the fit because of the boa.
Very durable and good in the wet
I purchased a men's 8 and the fit was tight at first, but once they broke in, they were true to size and extremely comfortable. I took these on several long rides and even a few creek crossings, and they were surprisingly fast to dry. They kept my feet safe from several rocks, and I was impressed with the quality and overall build.
I have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. I love putting them on and the way they look, I hate them after about 5+ miles into my ride. I bought them because I was looking for a shoe that doesn't look like a roadie shoe as do my SIDI Dominators. I ordered them in the winter and wore them inside to a few times a week to break them in. They are super comfortable when walking around the house. And I had high hopes for riding. I have since ridden over 100 miles in them and the right shoe hurts my foot. I have tried thin socks like Swiftwick, taken the insole completely out, loosened the BOA laces, moved the SPD cleat on the shoe, I even took an old pair of insoles from the SIDI shoes and trimmed them as I have wide feet. So far nothing has worked. Unless I can figure something out, I will be putting these up for sale and going back to my SIDI Dominators.
I have trained with this shoe over the past season and have thoroughly liked them. Toward the end of the season, the soles were starting to groove with my flat pedals. I ended up cleaning the sole and applying shoe goo to the grooves to help extend the life
